Project Manager

The purpose of the Project Manager is the coordination and completion of assigned projects for construction jobs. They oversee all aspects of the project and are responsible for ensuring each project’s successful completion within the allowed time-frame and budget. They further assure that Horizon Glass is represented professionally by providing dependability, solid customer service, as well as leadership and guidance to all parties including the assigned construction crews.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering or Related Fields Preferred But Not Required
  • 1+ Years Field Experience or Equivalent Experience in Project Coordination or Management
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and Ability to Learn & Work With Other Construction & Job Cost Related Software Programs
  • Strong Math and Analytical Skills
  • Willing to Travel to Job Sites, Meetings, and/or Other Events as Needed (Occasional Day Trips, Infrequent Overnight)

Commercial Estimator/Sales

Our Commercial Estimators are responsible for coordinating the accurate estimation costs of both large and small scale projects involving contract work. Essential responsibilities involve reviewing construction drawings, specifications, and attending pre-bid meetings in order to determine costs and overall scope of work.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Sales & Marketing, or Related Fields Preferred But Not Required
  • 1+ Years Commercial Estimating Experience or Equivalent Experience in Non Residential Construction
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and Ability to Learn & Work With Other Industry Related Estimating Software Programs
  • Strong Math and Analytical Skills
  • Willing to Travel to Job Sites, Meetings, and/or Other Events as Needed (Occasional Day Trips, Infrequent Overnight)

Journeyman/Glazier

A glazier is essentially responsible for working with all types of glass for the purposes of completing all assigned construction and service related projects for Horizon Glass. They must be able to cut, fit, install, repair, or replace glass in/on virtually any surface and must be able to read and interpret blueprints or specifications to determine the necessary materials and/or proper installation and layout procedures that might be required for any such task or project.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be at Least 18 Years of Age
  • Strong Math and Analytical Skills
  • Must be Eligible for, or Have Already Completed, The Joint Apprenticeship and Training Program as Administered by The Glass Workers and Glaziers, Joint Apprenticeship Committee of Colorado or any Equivalent Glazing Apprenticeship Program Which Has Been Registered With The Bureau of Apprenticeship and Training, United States Labor Department.
  • Must Be Physically Capable of Performing the Essential Functions of the Trade Without Endangering the Health & Safety of Themselves and Others
  • Able to Follow and Maintain Workplace Safety Practices and Procedures to the Highest Standards
  • Safety-Minded With the Ability and Desire to Communicate Well and Work in a Team Environment
  • Must Own and Maintain Required Tools from the Union Provided Tool List
  • Must Have and Maintain a Valid Driver’s License and Meet Company Insurance Requirements

Industrial/Warehouse

Horizon Industrial Workers manage a variety of different roles which include, but are not limited to loading and unloading product, preparing and completing orders for transportation and delivery, receiving and processing warehouse stock products, and operation of machinery. Industrial Workers have potential for promotion to an apprentice after 9 months, following a positive Performance Review, and are eligible to enroll in our local Union’s Glazier/Journeyman Apprenticeship Program.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be Extremely Punctual
  • Follows Directions Well
  • Able to Lift Heavy Objects
  • Able to Follow and Maintain Workplace Safety Practices and Procedures to the Highest Standards
  • Previous Experience as a Warehouse Worker Preferred But Not Required
  • Must be Able to Pass a Drug Test
